Ethical Policy

At Green Nippers we believe it is important how and where our products are made. That is why we chose to have our baby garments ethically manufactured in Turkey, in an a Control Union certified factory under Global Organic Textile Standard.  Their Control Union registration number is: CU 811167. We visited the factory where the Green Nippers products are made, below you can see the images from our visit.

In order to label our products 'organic' we comply with the strict standards set out by the Soil Association. All Green Nippers products are certified by the Soil Association, our licence number is DK20677.   

The Soil Association ensures that the products you purchase have been manufactured and processed (from start to finish) to the strictest environmental and animal welfare standards. This give you, as a customer assurance that you are buying genuinely organic products that can be fully traceable back to source. The Soil Association symbol is the most recognised organic mark in the UK today.

     Pesticide Action Network work to eliminate the dangers of toxic pesticides, exposure to them, and their presence in the environment where we live and work.

Green Nippers visit to Turkey 

We visited our ethical factory in Istanbul, Turkey in August 2009. The factory has the ability to manufacture up to 20,000 items a month.
The employees have excellent working conditions, paid fairly and are not over-worked. They work a maximum of 8 hours per day/ 48 hours per week over 6 days.

 Green Nippers manufacturer visit England

We believe it is important to work closely with our manufacturer. Green Nippers have developed a good working relationship with our manufacturer in Istanbul, and were pleased to welcome them over to England to Green Nippers head office. It was great to discuss our new designs for our next collection, and give them an insight into English life!
