At Green Nippers we believe it is important how and where our products are made. We scoured the world for the most ethical, quality, source that met both our own rigorous standards and those of the regulatory bodies such as the Soil Association. We were determined to find a supplier who understood our ethical ethos and shared our aspirations for the brand. Therefore, we were delighted to have found a Turkish manufacturer who had the ability to ethically produce the Green Nippers products to a high standard. Our Turkish manufactural is a Contol Union certified factory under the Global Organic Textile Standard (CU 811167). We are both small businesses who share the same principles, this has enabled us to work and grow together as a partnership. It has given us the pleasure knowing that we have contributed to the welfare of their local community.
In order to label our products organic, we comply with the strict standards set out by the Soil Association. All Green Nippers products are certified by the Soil Association, our licence number is DK20677.
The Soil Association ensures that the products you purchase have been manufactured and processed (from start to finish) to the strictest environmental and animal welfare standards. This give you, the customer, assurance that you are buying genuinely organic products that can be fully traceable back to source. The Soil Association symbol is the most recognised organic mark in the UK today.

Pesticide Action Network work to eliminate the dangers of toxic pesticides, exposure to them, and their presence in the environment where we live and work.
Green Nippers visit to Turkey
Our visit to Turkey to begin working with our manufacturer was the beginning of a solid partnership. Every time a new collection is produced, we carry out extensive market research and continue to work closely with our manufacturer to make sure that everything we do is in tune with our business principles and ethos.
Our manufacturer is GOTS certified, a body that carries out regular inspections to ensure that employees continue to have safe and excellent working conditions, are paid fairly, they are not over-worked and most importantly no child labour is used. The employees work a maximum of 8 hours per day/ 48 hours per week over 6 days.

Green Nippers manufacturer visit to England
We believe it is important to work closely with our manufacturer. Green Nippers have developed a good working relationship with our manufacturer in Istanbul, and were pleased to welcome them over to England to Green Nippers head office. It was great to discuss our new designs for our next collection, and give them an insight into English life!
